FINERAC stands for 'Finland India Network of Researchers and Academics'. It is a platform of academics and researchers living in Finland, either of Indian origin and/or non-Indian academics, who are actively collaborating with Indian institutions, with the purpose to facilitate interaction and peer support. It aims to facilitate collaborative research ideas, first in Finland, and later expand the collaboration with potential Indian partners.
FINERAC has more than 300 members from various academic and research backgrounds, located at different universities and organisations across Finland.
FINERAC has two working groups with different agenda items and is managed by an Executive Committee. All members of the Working Groups based in Finland are members of the Committee. Ambassador of India is the Chair of the Committee. The Marketing Executive at the Embassy is the Secretary. The Committee will meet every quarter with a quorum of 10 members.
